Gilly Gobinet's watercolour prints and original paintings are highly sought after by local residents and visitors alike. They are on display in art galleries, restaurants and many private homes in Antigua and throughout the Caribbean, Europe and the Americas.
In Antigua, Gilly's prints and books are on sale in most hotels. In St. John's, Shipwreck Shop in
Heritage Quay has the full range of her prints and books, as do Dockyard Pottery in Nelson’s Dockyard and Harmony Hall in Brown’s Bay.
Gilly is a passionate traveller and has visited the region extensively, painting local scenes and capturing the colours and essence of Caribbean life on paper and on canvas. Her extensive collection of paintings and printed images features aspects of various Caribbean islands such as Antigua & Barbuda, Anguilla, Barbados, Grenada, St. Lucia, St. Kitts & Nevis, Montserrat and the USVI. Gilly's high-quality prints are available mounted with matts in standard frame sizes 5x7", 11x14", 10x20" and 16x20. Unmounted prints are available upon request.
Her long-awaited Art Gallery is now open. It showcases original art by Gilly (watercolour, pen & ink and acrylic) in styles ranging from realist & figurative to abstract & cartoons, on paper, wood & canvas. High-quality fine-art postcards,and greetings cards featuring Gilly’s art are also available. The subjects of Gilly’s art are equally wide-ranging, although most of her inspiration is derived form the Caribbean. In particular, she likes anything from nature – including nudes. She also specializes in pet portraits, particularly of dogs and cats which she paints from high res photos supplied by the pets’ owners. Commissions are another option
Her original paintings very in size from 4x6" to 24x36", but everything can travel in your suitcase, as the larger canvases can be easily detached from their stretchers and rolled and the watercolours, black & white sketches and canvas on board have removable frames and all have re-sealable protective coverings. However, shipping by FedEx International is also a possibility.
