Gilly Gobinet's watercolour prints and original paintings are highly sought after by local residents and visitors alike. They are on display in art galleries, restaurants and many private homes in Antigua and throughout the Caribbean, Europe and the Americas.
In Antigua, Gilly's prints and books are on sale in most hotels. In St. John's, Jacaranda on Redcliffe Quay which, like Shipwreck Shop in
Heritage Quay, has the full range of her prints and books.
If you are visiting Antigua's rainforest, you can see her work displayed at a fellow Antiguan artist's gallery. Sallie Harker's

, is located deep in the Antiguan rain forest and it features some of Gilly's original art pieces and
her Cool Caribbean Books.
Original paintings are also available directly from the artist at her studio in Fitches Creek (on the north-east coast, behind the airport). Visitors are always welcome but it is best to telephone for an appointment in advance.

Gilly is a passionate traveler and has visited the region extensively, painting local scenes and capturing the colours and essence of Caribbean life on paper and on canvas. Her extensive collection of paintings and printed images features aspects of various Caribbean islands such as Antigua & Barbuda, Anguilla, Barbados, Grenada, St. Lucia, St. Kitts & Nevis, Montserrat and the USVI. Gilly's high-quality prints are available mounted with matts in standard frame sizes 5x7", 11x14", 10x20" and 16x20. Unmounted prints are available upon request.
- New - Gilly will be participating in an exhibition on the theme of Rhythm & Movement, opening on 23 July 2010 at the T Clifton Art Gallery, Memphis, Tennessee.

Gilly has achieved international recognition and won awards for her original art. These include the prestigious Antiguan Art Society's Annual Awards and the Supreme Award for Excellence in the Islands Arts Quest Competition. She has had many highly successful one-person art shows in Caracas, Venezuela, Anguilla, St. Lucia and Antigua as well as group art shows in Guadeloupe, Anguilla and Hong Cong. Gilly works in watercolour, pen & ink, acrylic and oil and accepts special commissions.
- New - a new series of fun but functional books - the Cool Caribbean Books on Cookery, Cocktails, Herbs & Spices and the Top 20 Places In Antigua has recently been published, with all the illustrations by Gilly.
She was awarded the 2008 Gourmand World Cook Book Award for Best Illustrations for her Cool Caribbean Cookery Book. It is the first time an Antiguan has won this award, beating tough competition from 21 countries and was also the only book where content and art work were from the same author.
